A post with w.bloggar

I suppose I’m the last to know about this, again, but I just downloaded w.bloggar, a Windows interface for almost every variety of blog software and service available, and I am in love.

When I first started the Surf the Mind blog, I chose Thingamablog software simply because it was a desktop-based application, and it just feels more natural for me to write in a desktop app rather than in a Web form.

Then came the database crash, and, having been thwarted by Thingamablog in my attempts to continue my blog, I move to WordPress.

Don’t get me wrong. I love WordPress, but I missed the desktop app. I hated the fact that after hours of writing, or after getting distracted from writing, I could lose a post when the cookie or session or whatever it was timed out.

And now I find I can have the best of both worlds. I am a happy girl today.

Thanks to Dane Morgan mentioning w.bloggar in this Howto Corp forum post.

Hey, glad you like it. And welcome to wordpress ;) I think it’s an awesome blogging platform and w.bloggar adds funtionality to it that makes for killer combo.

    P.S.
If you want to email me I’ll point out a couple plugins that you don’t seem to be using that you’ll absolutely love once you install them.
