I tried dropping using chrome and I have to say that I’m quite impressed with its performance. It’s exactly as you have described in your post. Whenever I get a bad site on Firefox it will drop everything and close the browser without any warning. I have to reload each page again and login to entrecard because it keeps logging me out of EC. I have fixed this error on FF before but it mysteriously came back. I’m too lazy to do anything about it right now. I guess I’ll have to use Chrome in my future drops. Thanks

Just thought I would post a follow up to my earlier comment, I’ve since tried using Chrome for my Entrecard dropping and it is great, much better than Firefox!

I’ve got Chrome and while I like it as a browser, there are just some Firefox add-ons I’d rather be using. I’ve never thought about using it for Entrecard dropping but I am going to try it out now, the widget delay that you spoke about with Firefox is becoming a hassle.

Entrecard dropping as a test? Thats a smart way of testing the new browser.

I have downloaded chrome but havent started using it. I have seen many reviews of chrome, but yours is a really practical way of testing a browser. Maybe I will start using chrome now!

I use Chrome on my MSI Wind which isn’t the most powerful notebook out there and it handles it quite well under Vista.

I may just have to use chrome for dropping other then that I really haven’t found much use for Google’s new naked browser. It just a browser only stripped down…

I like Chrome so far. It performs faster than Firefox on a traditional CPU, and when I use it on a Dual Core machine, it’s significantly faster. I guess that since each tab runs as a separate process, Chrome may be optimized for multi-core systems.

I have had two issues with it in Entrecard, though. When I have a bunch of tabs open, Flash scripts hang and crash.

The other problem is that it randomly logs me out of Entrecard. Firefox would do this too on occasion, but it’s pretty much a daily occurrence with Chrome.

Hi. I read a few reviews about Google new toy but I haven´t used it yet. i´m very used to Firefox and I´m a bit lazy to learn new stuff, specially with browsers. I was wondering if it was faster than Firefox when dropping Entrecards. When I load 10 sites, it goes so slow.
Glad I read your article, now I know it´s worth trying. Thanks for sharing.
